Manufacturer-Info Polistil was an Italian toy company which was specialized in die-cast metal and plastic vehicles of all sizes. They also made dolls, robots and TV items. The company began as "Politoys APS" in 1960 and started production of plastic cars in 1:41 scale. In 1965 a change was made in producing die-cast metal vehicles. About 1970, the company name was changed to Polistil. In the late Seventies a variety of previous Polistil castings were shipped to Mexico and sold as the "McGregor" brand. McGregor sold both plastic and die-cast versions of Polistil toys. After a 33 year span and a collaboration with "Tonkaâ€, they went out of business in 1993.
