Manufacturer-Info The creator and producer of A2 MODELS is "Marc Hermans", born in 1957. Together with his brother "Fabrice Hermans", they own world's largest collection of Citroen toy cars. Most of their collection is on permanent display in the 'Citroen and miniatures' exhibition at the Mosae Forum parking garage in Maastricht, Holland. During his engineering studies in the 80's, he produced MHModels with help of his brother, 1:43 resin Citroen kits. A few years later he produced Emach models, 1:27 ready build white metal models in the style of Les Jouets Citroen of the 30s. In May 2011, "Marc Hermans" started the production and sale of his new brand A2 MODELS. In times when almost everything is "Made in China", these static models are 100% "Made in Holland". A2MODELS are inspired by vintage toy cars of the 50's and 60's, manufactured by well-known brands like Dinky Toys, Corgi-Toys, J.R.D., C.I.J., Spot-ON, Tekno, Märklin, Lion Cars and so on. Few old toy cars manufacturers used to produce their line of models in different scales. The A2 MODELS, inspired on those old toy cars have consequently been scaled down to the same scale, like for example the 1:76 "Dublo" scale. A2 MODELS are 3D colour printed by means of a composite powder, with or without promotional text. This gives them a satin "feel & look" which makes them look as if they have just come out of a comic strip. All A2 MODELS are produced in a limited edition of 200 copies per version. In 2023 A2 MODELS closed down their production forever. Model-InfoThese 96 two-stroke models are produced in the "1:76 dublo-models" series. They have two kinds of wheels, see illustrations. All models are sold without a box. |
