The Corgi brand was created by the "Mettoy Company" of Northampton which first started pressed metal toys in the 1930s. The first Corgi models appeared in 1956 and covered British-built saloon cars of the period. During the years, they produced toycars, like the Saab 9000 and also collector-models, like the Saab 96. Vanguards is one serial in the large range of "Corgi Toys".

This 96 Sport is a revised "Corgi Classics" model from the Nineties.
